Frequently Asked Questions
What does it cost to get started?
There is a one-time $1,500 activation fee to launch your campaign.
After activation, there is no monthly retainer. You pay based on the qualified consultations we produce.
How much does a qualified consultation cost?
Our standard rate is $800 per qualified, showed consultation with a household that has $200,000+ in investable assets.
For legitimate opportunities below $200,000 in investable assets, pricing is reduced to 0.4% of the household's investable assets, up to the $800 maximum.
For example:
-
$100,000 investable → $400
-
$150,000 investable → $600
-
$175,000 investable → $700
-
$200,000+ investable → $800
This allows you to still work legitimate smaller opportunities without paying the full $800.
What qualifies as a billable consultation?
A standard $800 consultation must:
-
Show up for the scheduled consultation
-
Be age 55+
-
Understand why they're meeting with you
-
Have genuine interest in discussing annuities
-
Have at least $200,000 in investable household assets
If the prospect is a legitimate opportunity but has less than $200,000 in investable assets, the reduced pricing described above applies.
Do I pay for no-shows?
No.
If the prospect doesn't attend the scheduled consultation, you aren't charged for a qualified consultation.
What if the appointment is invalid?
You aren't charged for appointments that meet our definition of invalid.
Examples include prospects who:
-
Are under 55
-
Have no investable assets
-
Are not willing to consider moving any money into an annuity
-
Are confused about why they're speaking with you
-
Are hostile toward annuities or clearly unwilling to participate
-
Have no genuine interest in discussing annuities
Your team dispositions each appointment after it occurs so we know what happened.
What if the prospect has less than $200,000 in investable assets?
You aren't forced to pay $800 for a smaller opportunity.
Legitimate opportunities below the $200,000 threshold are billed at 0.4% of the household's investable assets, up to the $800 maximum.
For example, a prospect with $125,000 in investable assets would be billed at $500 rather than $800.
When am I billed?
Appointments are billed on a weekly cycle.
Each Monday, you're billed for the qualified consultations delivered during the previous billing period.
That means you're paying for appointments after they've occurred, rather than pre-purchasing a package of leads or appointments.
What happens if A1Media doesn't deliver?
Your activation fee is protected by our initial performance guarantee.
If we don't generate at least 10 billable consultations within your first 60 days, your $1,500 activation fee is refunded.
Is there a minimum appointment volume?
Yes. Advisors in the A1Media network must maintain a minimum capacity of 5 appointments per month.
We want to work with advisors who have the capacity to consistently take appointments and work the opportunities we generate.
Can I pause my appointments?
Yes.
We understand that vacations, busy periods, personal obligations, and changes in capacity happen. Advisors may pause appointment delivery for up to 30 days during any 6-month period.
A continuous pause lasting longer than 30 days without prior written approval may result in suspension from the A1Media network.
Am I locked into a long-term contract?
No.
There is no 6-month or 12-month commitment and no recurring monthly retainer.
We do, however, require participating advisors to maintain the minimum appointment capacity and pause requirements outlined above while active in the A1Media network.
Can I control how many appointments I receive?
Yes.
We establish your target appointment volume during onboarding based on your availability, licensing footprint, and capacity, with a minimum of 5 appointments per month.
If you need to temporarily reduce or pause appointment production, you can do so subject to our pause policy.
Where do the prospects come from?
We generate consumer demand directly through native search to our retirement brand website. We also advertise on meta, tik-tok, and google. We don't buy data from third party companies.
Prospects respond to annuity specific advertising before entering our qualification and appointment-setting process.
Our team then follows up with those inquiries to identify qualified prospects and schedule consultations directly onto your calendar.
What does the prospect know before the meeting?
Prospects are made aware that the conversation involves annuities and retirement planning before they're scheduled with an advisor.
If someone shows up confused about the purpose of the meeting or has no interest in discussing annuities, they don't meet our standard for a qualified consultation.
What results does A1Media see from these appointments?
Across the appointments we've tracked, approximately 21.5% of qualified consultations have resulted in an annuity application being submitted.
Actual results vary significantly based on the advisor, sales process, product availability, case design, follow-up, and other factors outside A1Media's control.
For that reason, we don't promise a particular number of applications, issued cases, or commissions.
Our responsibility is to consistently put qualified prospective clients in front of you.
What's the typical opportunity size?
The average opportunity we've seen is approximately $200,000 in investable household assets.
Individual opportunities can be significantly smaller or larger, and the amount a prospect initially intends to allocate to an annuity may differ from the eventual case size.
How long does it typically take to close an appointment?
We've typically seen prospects require approximately 3–4 meetings over 4–6 weeks before reaching an application decision.
This is why we evaluate our performance primarily on whether we're putting qualified opportunities in front of advisors—not whether every prospect purchases immediately.
Can I speak with an A1Media client before getting started?
Absolutely.
We're happy to connect qualified prospective clients with advisors currently using A1Media so you can hear about their experience directly. We'd rather you understand exactly what you're buying before deciding whether we're the right fit.
